Smart Card Interface
The DS8005 dual smart card interface is a low-cost, dual analog front-end for an IC card reader interface that needs to communicate with two smart cards in a mutually exclusive fashion. The analog interface is designed for use in ISO 7816, EMV®, and B-CAS applications. The device is functionally similar to two DS8024s with external multiplexing to select the active interface, but also includes low power and 1.8V card support. Additionally, the device is designed for applications where the C4/C8 (AUX1/AUX2) contacts are not required on either card interface. The device is provided in a 28-pin SO package. The pinout is backwards compatible with the DS8313, allowing applications to use the same...

multiprotocol dual smart card interface
The DS8007 multiprotocol dual smart card interface is a low-cost, dual smart card reader interface supporting all ISO 7816, EMV, and GSM11-11 requirements. Through its 8-bit parallel bus and dedicated address selects (AD3–AD0), the DS8007 can easily and directly connect to the nonmultiplexed byte-wide bus of a Maxim/Dallas secure microcontroller. Optionally, the parallel bus can be multiplexed to allow direct access to the multiplexed bus of an 80C51-compatible microcontroller through MOVX memory addressing. One integrated UART is multiplexed among the interfaces to allow high-speed automatic smart card processing with each card-possessing, independent, variable, baud-rate capability. The ca...

Multiprotocol Dual Smart Card Interface
The DS8007A multiprotocol dual smart card interface is an automotive grade, low-cost, dual smart card reader interface supporting all ISO 7816, EMV™, and GSM1111 requirements. Through its 8-bit parallel bus and dedicated address selects (AD3–AD0), the DS8007A can easily and directly connect to the nonmultiplexed bytewide bus of a Maxim secure microcontroller. Optionally, the parallel bus can be multiplexed to allow direct access to the multiplexed bus of an 80C51-compatible microcontroller through MOVX memory addressing. Smart Card Interface
The DS8023 smart card interface IC is a low-cost, lowpower, analog front-end for a smart card reader designed for all ISO 7816, EMV*, and GSM11-11 applications. The DS8023 supports 5V, 3V, and 1.8V smart cards, and provides an option for ultra-low stop-mode power consumption. The DS8023 is available in 28-pin TSSOP and SO packages, and can often be used as a replacement for the TDA8024 with little or no application changes. The DS8023 is designed to interface between a system microcontroller and the smart card interface, providing all power supply, protection, and level shifting required for IC card applications. Features ♦ Analog Interface and Level Shifting for IC Card Communication ♦ ±8k...

Smart Card Interface
The DS8024 smart card interface IC is a low-cost, analog front-end for a smart card reader, designed for all ISO 7816, EMV*, and GSM11-11 applications. The DS8024 is a pin-for-pin drop-in replacement for the NXP TDA8024 and is offered in 28-pin TSSOP and SO packages. Applications requiring support for 1.8V smart cards or requiring low power should consider the DS8113, which achieves lower active- and stop-mode power with minimal changes to application hardware and software. Features ♦ Analog Interface and Level Shifting for IC Card Communication ♦ 8kV (min) ESD (IEC) Protection on Card Interfaces ♦ Internal IC Card Supply-Voltage Generation: 5.0V ±5%, 80mA (max) 3.0V ±8%, 65mA (max) ♦ Autom...

High-Speed Microcontroller
The DS80C310 is a fast 80C31/80C32-compatible microcontroller. It features a redesigned processor core without wasted clock and memory cycles. As a result, it executes every 8051 instruction between 1.5x and 3x faster than the original architecture for the same crystal speed. Typical applications have a speed improvement of 2.5x using the same code and the same crystal. The DS80C310 offers a 25MHz maximum crystal speed, resulting in apparent execution speeds of 62.5MHz (approximately 2.5x). The DS80C310 is pin compatible with the standard 80C32 and includes standard resources such as three timer/counters, 256 bytes of RAM, and a serial port. It also provides dual data pointers (DPTRs) to spe...

Dual CAN High-Speed Microprocessor
The DS80C390 is a fast 8051-compatible microprocessor with dual CAN 2.0B controllers. The redesigned processor core executes 8051 instructions up to 3X faster than the original for the same crystal speed. The DS80C390 supports a maximum crystal speed of 40MHz, resulting in apparent execution speeds of 100MHz (approximately 2.5X). An optional internal frequency multiplier allows the microprocessor to operate at full speed with a reduced crystal frequency, reducing EMI. A hardware math accelerator further increases the speed of 32-bit and 16-bit multiply and divide operations as well as high-speed shift, normalization, and accumulate functions. The High-Speed Microcontroller User’s Guide and H...
